Call of the Muezzin
Our city tour takes you through the various periods of Istanbul.
Starting at the Galata Tower, we walk down the Bankalar Caddesi from the 19th Century to the Persembe Pazari in Karaköy with all its tool shops. There we visit an old caravanserai from the 16th Century that is hidden in the backstreets of this area. At the fish market, we cross the Golden Horn to Eminönü with a small fisher boat. There we visit the Rüstem Pasha Mosque of Mimar Sinan and walk through the narrow and busy streets to the Egyptian market. After tasting the famous Tulum cheese it goes up behind the Grand Bazaar, through two old caravanserais. On the roof of one caravanserai we will experience the calls for the noon prayers with a breathtaking scenery. Then we walk to the Beyazit Square, past the complex of the Süleymaniye Mosque and the grave of Mimar Sinan. Upon request, we can enjoy a cup of tea in a hidden tea garden or return to Karaköy, where you have the possibility to enjoy the freshest fish at the fish market.
