enchanting Aegean village of Turkey 01.09. – 06.09.2016.
Photograph and discover Ayvalık and Nomad Villages
A photography workshop with Aycin Bayraktaroglu is an intensive portrait and street photography adventure in Ayvalık Turkey with Manzara Ayvalık intended for small groups of photographers who wants to discover real local life of people and discover Nomad Villages around. The specially designed workshop makes it very different to other workshops, which are mostly overcrowded and offer little in the way of personal feedback or tuition from the tutor. Aycin not only discusses participant photos, but shoots daily in pairs with them.
The aim of the workshop is not only to bring home some great pictures but through Aycin’s tuition to improve photographic craft (portrait, light, social skills), learn about editing your work and develop your own personal style in portrait and street photography. Most imporantly, participants return from the workshop confident, inspired and motivated to keep developing as photographers.

I’m interested in humanity without any discrimination of
religion, language, race. I know that each individual is unique
and special, this is why in all my portraits, I reflect them in
their most real and most simple state. For me every face I
photograph is a great story about humanity.
I am also working on documentaries about under-represented
yet very rich and heritage communities in India. First project
was about Hijras, the third gender of India which is a
documentary about their unknown daily life and rituals.
Recently I worked on tribal people of Gujarat, India, the
hidden colourful communities of tribal people and their
ancient heritage culture which is still preserved as is.
