HARIKA! Manzara goes Munich!
Between the 12th of October and the 27th of November 2016 the huge festival “Türkiye reloaded“ will take place in the Pasinger Fabrik in Munich under the patronage of former mayor Christian Ude. It will be an extensive, vivid and also a brave program under the leadership of the committed festival coordinator Sinem Gökser.
There will be something for everybody: exhibitions, concerts, dance, theatre, readings and cooking classes. Türkiye Reloaded Programm
When Munich and Turkey come together, Manzara has to be there, too! We were invited and said: with some events, an exhibition and a presentation of our project we will express what is most important for us.

We have already successfully started the series of “Dialogs from West to East” in our cultural salon “SUPA by Manzara” in Istanbul. It deals with topics like art, economics and politics. In the context of differentiated perspectives on two cultures, on those evenings two experts exchange their knowledge, opinions and experiences. It is important and only logical to us to continue with these talks in Germany now.
For the next year two more “Dialogs from West to East” dealing with different topics are already planned at chosen locations in Munich.

ISTANBUL HEIMWEHABEND
After a long time, on the 29th of October the almost legendary Manzara Istanbul “Homesickness evening” will take place. We will be there with exciting stories, photos, films and music. Our guests will be presented with a colourful potpourri and our famous drawing of attractive prizes. At the end of this evening the Istanbul homesickness will surely be gone and the longing for a Bosphorus breeze will be aroused.
We kindly ask you to register until 22/10 at gabi@manzara-istanbul.com

On 30/10 we invite children to make their own kites: hexonal ones as they are built in Turkey and rhombic ones as they are mostly built in Germany. Afterwards we will test our selfmade kites.

IST = Inspired by Improvisation
Additionally and with the friendly support of NURUS, we could bring the exhibition “IST = Inspired by Improvisation” by Hendrik Bohle from Istanbul to Munich. It is an extensive collection showing a detailed view on the informal structures of districts. It shows how the inhabitants create and take the city`s space in an unconventional and creative way. The exhibition came into being within the framework of our first Manzara Architecture Scholarship. And last but not least: We will give you a glimpse into the “Manzara” project.
At this point a big thank you to the Pasinger Fabrik Team for the cordial invitation and the fantastic organization!
