How MANZARA Works

The MANZARA Istanbul apartments are located in the bohemian centre of the city: Galata! The area made a terrific swift in the last 10 years. Once a sympathically but gone to rack area with workshops in the basements, Galata grew to a spot for the creative class – without loosing it’s genuine flair! When you wander through the streets you will meet the craftsmen drinking tea in front of their places and pass by young design shops. This highly creative mix between old times and new ideas characterizes the neighbourhood.

MANZARA is spread all over our neighbourhood. You can reach Galata Tower, the famous district’s landmark from 1348, from every apartment in less than 10 minutes. Following the concept of Albergo Diffuso, the innovative hospitality concept from Italy, the venues are decentralized. MANZARA Apartments are located in different buildings and are without exception one of a kind.

We picked the best views and cosiest streets for our apartments. By restoring sustainable, MANZARA is extending the space potential of typical Istanbulian apartments. The outcome is a synthesis of original elements with a contemporary architectural concept.

While our apartments are comfy and modern, the condition of some of the apartment building, do not always meet the European or American standards. Sometimes you have to climb up a shabby stairway to see the Bosporus at it’s best – this is Istanbul!

MANZARA is Turkish for view and we have various. Istanbul is one of the most beautiful cities of this world: The view on the Bosporus or the Golden Horn is a precious here and it is wonderful to share that experience with our guests. This is why we love our job! If you want to have your private view check our Panorama Apartments. We are not offering breakfast at the moment (be excited! we are planning our new cafe). But the reception staff can recommend their insiders’ tips for the perfect morning-yummy!

The standard booking is including the final cleaning. Sure, we can arrange an additional cleaning – Please let us know at the time of your booking, we charge this service apart from the booking rates (20 Euro). For extra towel or new sheets you can just write us short message or call our reception.

If you should have any problems with the premises during your stay please inform us as soon as possible. We will try to fix it immediately.

All of our apartments have a heating system (for winter-wonder trips), most of them have a TV and sound system and some are equipped with aircondition or  washing machine/dishwasher (see in the apartment descriptions). If you need to make laundry but didn’t book an apartment with washing machine, contact our reception – we will find a solution. In the kitchen you will find everything (pots, french press, water cooker, oil, salt…) you need to prepare an extensive breakfast on your terrace or a dinner over the roofs of Istanbul.

There is free Wi-Fi access in all our apartments. Be aware that the connection can be unstable or even not reachable for a while. Due to the areas infrastructure these problems occur from time to time – please take this in account if you plan to work while your stay. Contact us in case; we will do our best to fix it as fast as possible.

We need to know your arrival time to organize the check-in. If you already know, type it in the online booking form or write us an email with the time at least one week in advance. The apartment will be ready to check-in from 14 am. The check-out should be made until 11am. If you need to store your luggage until your flight, you can do this at our reception.

In case you arrive out of our reception hours (Mo-Sat: 9am – 6pm) we recommend you to book our comfortable pick-up service that will bring you directly to your flat. You arrive late but want to travel by yourself to your apartment? We will charge it with 20 Euros extra – one of our night-staff will bring you to your apartment.

We love to care about our guests. Hospitality means for us a warm welcome at our reception with Turkish tea, all the information you need for your apartments and the best insights about Istanbul. Whatever you need – come around at our reception and we will try to help you.

Please don’t forget to bring the passports/ID of all guests to the check-in. We need to copy these documents from all people staying in the booked apartment. Just verified persons are allowed to stay in the apartment. The person responsible for the reservation signs the booking documents and our terms and conditions.

In order to confirm your booking, we require a deposit of 15% of the total price (our online booking system is forwarding to PayPal).

Please note that your booking is not confirmed until we recorded your advance payment on our bank account. We accept cancellations via email. This is our cancellation policy:

• Up to 30 days prior arrival date: 15% of the rental price
• Up to 22 days prior arrival date: 30% of the rental price
• Up to 15 days prior arrival date: 40% of the rental price
• Up to seven days prior arrival date: 50% of the rental price
• From six days prior until the commencement of the term of lease, in default of non-attendance or cancellation after commencement of term of lease: 80% of the rental price

Please pay the remaining balance upon arrival at the reception. It is compulsory to receive the keys for your MANZARA apartment (exception: if you arrive out of office time, we hand you over the keys and make the check-in/payment the next day). We accept cash payment in Euro or Lira and try to avoid credit card payments regarding to the unstable system connection.

We put a lot of love and energy in designing the apartments and keep them comfortable and clean. We expect that our guests share our ideology of mindfulness and await everyone to treat the apartment and its facilities with care.
