Do you recognize the Christmas melody?
After the success of the music of last year’s movie, we reached deep into our Manzara treasure chest and re-introduced the international Christmas carol Jingle Bells, a version that has been exclusively recorded for Manzara by singer Nihan Devecioglu and the musician Cemal Barkýn Engin.
The scenery this year is Istanbul, and in particular the prestigious Suriye Pasaji; home of the Manzara office, the SUPA salon and SUPA Atölyes. A charming Christmasgirl is dancing through Galata and surprises passersby with presents.
In the morning, still half asleep, she has an miraculous encounter: a small kite for a far-away place has landed on the roof, it beckons to the Christmas girl and sits down exhausted on her MANZARA terrace.
Together, the two set off. In the Suriye Pasaji they see hundreds of colourful kites and meet many cheerful people who greet them with jingling bells. The Christmasgirl continues dancing throughout the passage, from floor to floor. Once again she beckons to the little kite, who has found a new home with its new Turkish friends, before it makes its way back home to the Christmasgirls’ terrace. Back home the small German kite and one of its new Turkish friends are dancing exuberantly together in the wind. Very late in the evening, when everyone is already asleep after the exhausting day, the Turkish kite is already looking out for other new friends from far away.
